Rock & Roll Camp V

August 2010

8:30 am to 4:30 pm daily

The Center is proud to once again invite rockers aged 13-18 to join us for our annual Rock & Roll Camp.  Led by local music promoter and musician Peter Walters, the camp is packed chock-full with workshops, performance opportunities and tons of time to collaborate with fellow musicians.  Past participants have enjoyed a variety of activities: everything from learning to play the guitar to honing song-writing skills; from planning concerts to creating a music gazette.

Text Box: Free!

Rock & Roll Camp participants experience all aspects of music production. Here, they design band logos, play guitars and have a morning jam session.

If you have a band -- or just dream of being in one -- sign up now for Rock & Roll Camp IV!  You’ll work with musicians from all over to learn more about the music-making process.  While we’re still working on our final list of instructors and workshops, past camps have hosted members of the following bands:

JD Kindle and the East Oregon Playboys

Point Juncture, WA

Beirut
Heroes and Villains
Deer or the Doe
Junkface

(Final instructor and workshop schedule TBA . . . Keep watching this page for developments.)

Bring friends or come alone to the 5th annual Rock & Roll Camp; previous experience with an instrument is NOT required, but an interest in rock and roll is!
